A Case of The Reduction of Cervical Disc Protrusion on the CT Scanning after 5months by Oriental Medical Treatments Added by Bee Venom Acupuncture

Abstract

By process of treatment for a case which diagnosed as protrusion of the C5/6 disc and treated from the 13th, March 2001 to the 4th, Jun 2001, the results are as follows. This patient was medicated Hoesoosan-gami and Seukyoungtang-gami, taken acupuncture, phototherapy, TENS, electric acupuncture, exercises, bee venom acupuncture. As a result, the patient¡¯s clinical symptom were improved and it was confirmed that C5/6 disc protrusion was reduced as seen on repeated CT scanning. These results suggest that among conservative therapies the oriental medical treatments added by bee venom acupuncture can improve clinical symptom effectively as well as change the structures.
